New from Hittite Microwave Corp is an RoHS compliant SMT packaged medium power amplifier for microwave radio, test and sensor applications from 12 to 30GHz.

The HMC383LC4 GaAs PHEMT MMIC medium power amplifier is designed to meet the needs of microwave radio designers by providing enough output power to function as a general purpose driver amplifier, or to drive the mixer port of one of Hittite's I/Q or image reject mixers.

The HMC383LC4 delivers 15dB gain, +18dBm output P1dB, and consumes only 100mA from a single +5V supply.

The RF I/Os are matched to 50ohms and DC blocked, and its consistent gain and output power with frequency enable a common driver/LO amplifier approach across multiple radio bands.

The HMC383LC4 SMT amplifier is housed in a leadless, 4 x 4mm "Pb free" and RoHS compliant package.

Samples and evaluation PC boards are available from stock and can be ordered from MRC Components.
