Hittite Microwave, supplier of complete MMIC-based solutions for communication and military markets, has introduced three new mixers within the company's Connectorised Module Product Line.

Hittite Microwave, supplier of complete MMIC-based solutions for communication and military markets, has introduced three new mixers within the company's Connectorised Module Product Line These hermetic mixer modules are ideal for military, space, wideband telecommunications, industrial, microwave radio and test equipment applications from 4 to 38GHz

The HMC-C009 is a 4.0 to 8.5GHz I/Q mixer module which can be used as either an image reject mixer or a single sideband convertor.

The HMC-C009 features +23dBm input IP3, 35dB image rejection, and 40dB of LO to RF isolation.

This GaAs MMIC-based module is a more reliable and consistent alternative to hybrid style image reject mixers and single sideband convertor assemblies.

The HMC-C014 and HMC-C015 double-balanced mixer modules operate from 16 to 32GHz, and from 24 to 38GHz respectively.

Both mixers offer very wide IF bandwidth of DC to 8GHz and high LO to RF and LO to IF isolations of up to 40dB.

These passive mixer modules require no DC bias, and may also be used as bi-phase modulators/demodulators, or as wideband phase comparators.

Each of these mixer modules feature removable SMA connectors which can be detached to allow direct connection of the module's I/O pins to a micro-strip or coplanar circuit.
