Hittite Microwave Corporation has a new high IP3 mixer with integrated LO amplifier that is ideal for cellular/3G infrastructure applications from 0.7 to 1.4GHz.

The HMC483MS8G(E) is a high dynamic range MMIC mixer with integrated LO amplifier which is rated from 0.7 to 1.4GHz.

The input IP3 performance of +33dBm for down conversion and +30dBm for up conversion is achieved from only 0dBm of LO drive.

The high input P1dB of +24 dBm rivals traditional active FET mixers while offering a much smaller standard IC footprint, and the wide DC to 350MHz IF bandwidth will satisfy many GSM and CDMA Tx and Rx frequency plans.

The HMC483MS8G(E) is pin for pin compatible with the HMC485MS8G(E) which is a 1.7 to 2.4GHz mixer with integrated LO amplifier.

Together, these mixers allow designers to use a single PCB layout for 800, 900, 1900 and 2100MHz applications.

The HMC483MS8G(E) and the HMC485MS8G(E) are housed in RoHS compliant MSOP8GE packages and available from MRC Components.
