Microwave IC maker wins automotive certification

Hittite Microwave has received ISO/TS16949:2002 certification for the design, manufacture and sale of plastic encapsulated analogue and mixed-signal ICs.

Hittite Microwave Corp has received ISO/TS16949:2002 certification for the design, manufacture and sale of plastic encapsulated analogue and mixed-signal ICs for RF, microwave and millimetre-wave applications for the automotive industry.

ISO/TS16949 is a quality management system that specifies automotive industry quality and manufacturing standards that are more stringent then ISO9001:2000 requirements.

In addition to receiving this new certification, the company was recertified to the ISO9001:2000 standard, which it has maintained since 1997.

The company was audited and certified by TUV Management Service, Munich, Germany.

Hittite Microwave Corp is represented in Europe by MRC Components.
