Marvell and ASUS have announced the shipment of the first Marvell-based ASUS 3G smart phones.
Marvell and its partner ASUS, today announced the shipment of the first marvell-based ASUS 3G smart phones The ASUS Halley platform-based devices, which contain the Marvell PXA901 3G communications processor and the PXA272 applications processor, are currently shipping in the European market under the Vodafone brand name

Marvell and ASUS worked closely together on the development of the Halley platform.
The PXA901 communications processor supports GSM/GPRS and WCDMA communications; the PXA272 applications processor runs applications and services, and the operating system.
The two companies have rigorously tested the platform in many countries with different network implementations.
