The software stack Marvell is licensing enables dual-mode, low-power, ultra-low-cost 2.5 and 3G cellular handsets and will further enhance the Company's initiative to drive smartphone features into low-cost mainstream markets.
Marvell's Cellular and Handheld Business Group has worked with Motorola TTPCom technology for several years, porting the Motorola TTPCom stack to the PXA800 and PXA900 series of communications processors, which are already shipping in high volume.
With this agreement Marvell will be able to provide customised solutions for its wireless communications processors and platforms.

Marvell PXA processors are currently shipping in volume in popular handheld devices like Motorola Q, Motorola A1200 Ming, Motorola ROKR2, and RIM Blackberry Pearl.
Marvell products provide the headroom for advanced applications and communications with intelligent power management, allowing manufacturers to differentiate current and future offerings.
