Student package combines latest software releases

Also available are companion products with application- and domain-specific capabilities in areas such as signal processing and communication system design, control design and analysis, physical modelling, and computational biology, among others.

New capabilities and features of Matlab 7 enable students to increase productivity with a redesigned desktop that includes new programming and debugging tools, automated program analysis for code quality, and publishing of code and output directly to HTML and Word.

New interactive point-and-click plotting tools enable faster and easier creation of Matlab graphics, including the ability to generate code that recreates plotting sessions for later use or redistribution.

Additionally, support for integer and single-precision maths lets faculty and students decide which type of data best fits an algorithm, resulting in faster computations, faster access to data, and the ability to handle large data sets.

Simulink 6 includes a wide range of new and upgraded features that allow students to work with larger and more complex system models.

Student Version Release 14 now enables students to build complex models of up to 1000 blocks for simulating and analysing multi domain systems for control, signal processing, communications, and other applications.

The new version enables faculty and students to learn and use a tool that has become the standard in a number of industries including aerospace, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
