The programming language and environment simplifies the company's code development work, reducing the time taken and cost of product development.
CSR is the leading provider of single-chip radio devices for Bluetooth wireless communications; its flagship BlueCore product features in 60% of all Bluetooth-qualified end products and modules.
CSR is using three main products from The MathWorks: the Communications Toolbox, the Signal Processing Toolbox, and the Instrument Control Toolbox.
The Communications Toolbox helps to create physical layer algorithms for commercial wireless systems, while the Signal Processing Toolbox is a collection of industry-standard algorithms for analogue and digital signal processing.
The Instrument Control Toolbox enables communication with instruments such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and analytical instruments, directly from MATLAB.
"Matlab has helped maximise the productivity of our design engineers by reducing the time taken to develop vital algorithms", said Graham Pink, Engineering Manager at CSR.
"This is a key area of the development work for our latest family of Bluetooth products".
