Prototyping tool turns to avionics databuses
New drivers for the xPC Target rapid prototyping product support hardware from Condor Engineering, including high-performance high-density modules for ARINC429 and MIL-STD-1553 applications.
The MathWorks has developed drivers for its xPC Target rapid prototyping product to support hardware from Condor Engineering, a leading provider of military and commercial avionics databus solutions, including high-performance high-density modules for ARINC429 and MIL-STD-1553 applications.
With the new drivers, xPC Target now supports both commercial (ARINC 429) and military (MIL-STD-1553) avionics databuses, providing aerospace engineers who use Condor avionics boards with the ability to use model-based design, including xPC Target real-time testing software, for design and testing of avionics systems.
Condor Engineering offers a wide range of intelligent MIL-STD-1553 interface hardware to meet the demands of aerospace engineers.
Additionally, Condor's ARINC solutions provide feature rich functionality, ease of use and exceptional performance for embedded, test and simulation applications.
The integration of xPC Target with Condor Engineering's avionics boards enables aerospace engineers to use a high-performance, host-target prototyping and testing environment to connect Simulink and Stateflow models to physical systems, and to execute them in real-time using Condor avionics databus solutions.

The MathWorks xPC Target can be used for rapid prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop simulation and testing of aerospace control systems.
xPC Target enables users to run applications generated from Simulink and Stateflow models using a real-time multitasking kernel on any PC-compatible system.
xPC Target includes an extensive I/O device driver library that supports more than 250 standard I/O boards, and provides capabilities to perform data and signal tracing and logging, and parameter tuning in real time.
