Wireless network integrator Multitone and leading voice and communications vendor DeTeWe are to jointly develop DECT-based PBX system solutions.

Wireless network integrator Multitone and leading voice and communications vendor DeTeWe are to jointly develop DECT-based PBX system solutions Under the agreement, Multitone will not only market DeTeWe's recently launched OpenCom system under the Access 5000 product name, but will go on to further develop DeTeWe's advanced DECT cordless capability for the benefit of both companies

Multitone's experience in wireless communications systems, especially those for mission-critical environments such as healthcare and emergency services, will broaden the horizons for DeTeWe's DECT system.

"This technology partnership, will open new doors for both parties", commented Michael Walker, Multitone's CEO.

"With our growing momentum in the wireless networking environment, we are looking forward to combining DeTeWe's technology expertise with Multitone's ability to tailor wireless communication systems to customers' needs".

The Multitone Access 5000 offers customers a modular communications package incorporating unified messaging, desktop voice, data text to mobile devices and networking capabilities.

"This compact platform integrates voice and data communications into one system and provides mobile handsets with the functionality normally reserved for desktop telephones", said Multitone's Marketing Director Ron Wray.
