A new USB-GPIB controller module converts any PC with a USB interface into a full-function, IEEE488.2 bus controller.

Based on the powerful Measurement Computing CB7210 chip, the unit performs all the basic IEEE488.1 functions such as talker, listener and system controller.

Its IEEE488.2 controller routines make it fully compliant with the IEEE488.2 specification.

The 488-USB module is a plug and play USB peripheral that is supported under Microsoft Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP operating systems.

The USB-GPIB controller is a small module that plugs onto any open GPIB connector.

The open GPIB connector can be the open end of a cable stack or on the back of an instrument.

Finger-size jackscrews secure and hold the 488-USB module in any position.

Three LEDs provide visual status and diagnostic help and greatly simplify system installation and testing.

The USB-GPIB includes Measurement Computing's GPIB driver and supports programs that run on Windows 98, Me, 2000 and XP operating systems.

The 488.2 Driver includes National Instruments' style 488.1 "ib" and 488.2 command sets.

The driver provides support for Visual Basic and C/C++ language programs and is compatible with National Instruments' VISA and LabView.

The USB-GPIB is also supported by MathWorks Matlab.
