Three new battery powered data loggers
Three new battery powered specialty loggers include a DC voltage logger, a current loop logger and a temperature logger.
Measurement Computing has added three new battery-powered specialty loggers to its growing USB product line The three data loggers are: the USB-503, a 0 to 30V DC voltage logger costing US $69; the USB-504, a 4 to 20mA current loop logger costing $69; and the USB-501-LT , an ultra small (lite) version of the USB-501 temperature logger, which costs $49

Module brings GPIB control via USB
A new USB-GPIB controller module converts any PC with a USB interface into a full-function, IEEE488.2 bus controller.
These products are a cost-effective solution for both long- or short-term data logging applications.
They offer reduced setup time and eliminate the need to drag around expensive equipment to make field or factory measurements.
The 500 series provides a low-cost and simple interface to configure, download, display, and export logged data.
The growing USB-500 series units may be the most convenient, easy-to-use dataloggers on the market.
Bill Kennedy, MCC's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, comments: "Customers who already own our USB-501 and USB-502 temperature loggers really appreciate their size, price, and ease of use, and have asked if we could extend the line to include loggers for other types of data, and that's exactly what we've done".
"We have one for voltage, one for current, plus, a new 'lite' temperature logger that looks like a USB flash drive".
The USB-503 logs up to 32,510 voltage measurements over a 0 to 30V DC measurement range.
The USB-504 logs up to 32,000 current loop measurements in the 4 to 20mA range.
Both the 503 and the 504 have eight programmable logging rates - from once every ten seconds to once every twelve hours.
Flashing LEDs indicate logger status.
The tiny USB-501-LT logs up to 4,080 temperature measurements in the -10 to 50C range and operates at fixed 15mi, 30mi, 1hr, and 2hr sample rates.
Status is indicated by a red/green LED.
All the loggers plug directly into a standard USB port for setup and data download.
The USB-500 Series Data Logging Application software (included with each logger) supports all products in the series.
This user-friendly application is used initially to configure the loggers - program alarm thresholds, logging rates, start times, measurement units, etc.
When the loggers are retrieved from the field, the same application provides simple one-click access to download, display, and export the data.
