Smaller format for ferrite inductors
Devices are suitable for EMI reduction on DC power lines and low speed signal lines where the smaller packaging reduces board space.
Murata has released the BLM15P series of chip ferrite bead inductors in 0402 packages These tiny parts measure 1.0 x 0.5 x 0.5mm, achieving a footprint that is over 60% smaller than the 0603 types offered previously, without degradation in performance

Ferrite beads for miniature suppression
Miniature ferrite beads provide wide frequency range attenuation, typically from 30MHz to several hundred megahertz.
The devices are suitable for EMI reduction on DC power lines and low speed signal lines where the smaller packaging reduces board space.
The inductors feature extremely low DC resistance, between 35 and 90mohm, and high rated current of up to 2.2A.
The typical impedance at 1MHz is between 10 and 120ohm, depending on the specific part.
The equivalent circuit is a series inductor and resistor, the resistance element becoming dominant at high frequencies.
The BLM15P series has an operating temperature range of -55 to +125C.
Current derating must be used above 85C.
The parts are offered on 180 or 330mm paper tape, or in bulk packages with a minimum order quantity of 1000.
