Mobile DiskOnChip Flash disk is providing nonvolatile memory capacity for the P900 smartphone from Sony Ericsson.

Mobile DiskOnChip Flash disk is providing nonvolatile memory capacity for the P900 smartphone from Sony Ericsson.

Building on the successful P800, the P900 is smaller, faster, simpler and more flexible than ever before.

Significant new capabilities such as video recording, online software updating and storage of downloadable software, music and Java and mophun games are made possible in part through the increased memory provided by Mobile DiskOnChip.

"Highly reliable high-performance data storage is one of the many underlying features that contribute to the satisfying user experience provided by Sony Ericsson's newest smartphone", said Francois Kaplan, General Manager, M-Systems Europe.

"The high capacity and low overall cost of the Mobile DiskOnChip make it the ideal memory solution for handset manufacturers, like Sony Ericsson, using the latest technology in the industry".

"We at M-Systems Europe are very proud that our technology has been approved and chosen by Sony Ericsson for its flagship multimedia smartphone.

We know first-hand that the P900 is a fantastic product".
