Motorola's Personal Communications Sector (PCS) is using the Mobile DiskOnChip G3 Flash disk as the onboard multimedia memory solution within the A768 mobile handset.

Motorola's Personal Communications Sector (PCS) is using the Mobile DiskOnChip G3 Flash disk as the onboard multimedia memory solution within the A768 mobile handset M-Systems' Mobile DiskOnChip G3 is providing 64Mbyte of data storage within Motorola's latest dual-mode mobile smartphone, which was introduced into the China market before Spring Festival and is being snapped up as fast as it appears in stores around the country

It is also being introduced in the weeks to come in other Asian markets.

With this abundance of onboard memory, the Java technology Linux-based A768 handset can store and playback a variety of multimedia content including MP3s, digital still photos and up to one hour of accumulated video.

The A768 also has a built-in Chinese and English dictionary, handwriting and speech recognition capability and can create, store and be used to display presentation, spreadsheet and word processing files.
