Data acquisition family extends to 80
channels
The newest members of the low-cost M Series data acquisition family extend available I/O functionality to include 80 16bit analogue input channels with sampling rates up to 250Ksample/s.
National Instruments has announced the NI PCI-6225 and PXI-6225, the newest members of the low-cost M Series data acquisition (DAQ) family that extend available I/O functionality to include 80 16bit analogue input channels with sampling rates up to 250Ksample/s The new NI 6225 devices provide the most analogue input channels of any NI multifunction DAQ devices and are ideal for applications such as data logging, control and sensor measurements

Modules condition a range of sensor signals
National Instruments has released new Signal Conditioning Component modules for frequency to voltage conversion, integrated circuit piezoelectric accelerometers and RTDs.
In addition to the 80 analogue input channels, the NI 6225 devices deliver all of the NI M Series improvements, including more I/O, performance and value.
The new NI-MCal technology in these devices increases accuracy across the entire measurement range by performing a self-calibration at each input range and compensating for nonlinearity error.
The NI-STC 2 system controller chip delivers digital I/O and timing capabilities previously unavailable with plug-in DAQ devices, such as timed and correlated digital I/O.
The chip also provides 32bit counter/timers with quadrature encoder inputs and debouncing filters, as well as six DMA channels for dedicated data paths to the PC processor for all I/O operations.
The NI PCI-6225 and PXI-6225 include two analogue output channels, 24 digital I/O (DIO) lines, hardware-timed digital I/O at rates up to 1MHz on eight DIO lines and two 80MHz, 32bit counter/timers.
NI ships both devices with its measurement services software, a collection of tools and drivers that connects virtual instrumentation software, such as National Instruments LabView, with NI hardware for measurement and control.
NI measurement services software, built around NI-DAQmx driver software, includes intuitive application programming interfaces, configuration tools, rapid I/O assistants and professional tools to help engineers reduce system setup and configuration time.
