Frontier emerges as winner
Frontier Silicon has won the NMI award for Emerging Technology Company of the year 2005.
Frontier Silicon has won the NMI award for Emerging Technology Company of the year 2005.
Recognising outstanding technology and commercial performance for electronics innovation, the award was made at the NMI's annual dinner at St David's hotel in Cardiff last week and attended by approximately 150 industry representatives.
The award was sponsored by the contract manufacturing firm Unisem Europe which provides services for many of the world's leading microelectronic and semiconductor product companies.
Bernie Ramsay of Unisem noted: "We've been working with Frontier Silicon from their early days and we were very pleased to present this award on behalf on the NMI".
Anthony Sethill, CEO, Frontier Silicon, commented: "We are pleased to have received this award from the UK's microelectronics institute".
"We have done significant pioneering work in emerging technologies such as DAB digital radio and now for mobile digital television; the award demonstrates that the industry recognises this achievement".
