Modular acquisition for analogue arrays
The BenEra CompactPCI card with new BenAdda Dime-II Virtex-II module offers modular data acquisition and generation for analogue arrays and software defined radio.
Up to eight input and eight output channels are now available on the BenEra using four of the latest Virtex-II BenAddas from Nallatech's new scalable Dime-II range As well as tightly coupled FPGAs and memory resource, the BenAdda provides 2 x 14bit ADC resolution with up to 105Msample/s per channel sampling rate and 2 x 14bit DAC resolution offering 160Msample/s per channel sampling rate

Platform harnesses potential of latest FPGAs
Nallatech has launched DIME-II with teraOPS performance which it says will allow users to harness the full capability of advanced FPGAs.
The result is a powerful data-processing resource for acquisition arrays, wideband cable systems and mobile communications systems with system conversion bandwidths up to 3.7Gbyte/s.
According to Dr Malachy Devlin, CTO, Nallatech, " The BenAdda has been developed in response to customer requirements for flexible, high-speed, high resolution, data conversion for both baseband and direct IF applications.
Additionally customers want the advantages of modularity and scalability.
So, with Dime-II, customers can substitute the BenAddas on the BenEra motherboard with any other Dime-II modules, for example, four BenBlue-IIs with Xilinx's latest 8 Million gate devices give a massive 66 million programmable logic gates on a single cPCI card".
