Optical system has designs on thin films and OLEDs
NanoVia has developed an optical system design targeting the high-volume manufacture of OLED display devices.
NanoVia has developed an optical system design targeting the high-volume manufacture of OLED display devices.
Using patented and patent-pending high power DPSS UV beam wavefront enhancing and scanning optics, the VectorLinx platform is capable of patterning thin polymer and metal films on glass and silicon substrates to create display devices used in handheld PDAs and mobile telephones.
The optical system is capable of processing material within a vacuum environment and is offered with added dynamic controls for surface topography following an integrated micro viewing of various transparent films using a NanoVia designed interference-based microscope imaging system.
NanoVia is pursuing partnership and joint venture opportunities in the USA, Taiwan and Japan.
"Our UV and CO2 laser optical system designs have emerged as powerful solutions within the laser-based micromachining marketplace", explains Todd Lizotte, Vice President of R and D at NanoVia.
