National Semiconductor has three new high-speed LMH amplifiers for portable communications, industrial, medical and video applications.
The LMH6723, LMH6724 and LMH6725 current feedback (CFB) amplifiers, created using National's unique VIP10 process technology, are designed for applications requiring high-speed performance with very low power consumption.
With this key mix of high speed, high output current and low power, these new amplifiers integrate National's strengths in analogue design and processing technology.
"National's new CFB amplifiers provide higher bandwidth with less power consumption than our competitors' parts.
They also offer higher AC performance, better line driving capability and strong video signal conditioning", said Erroll Dietz, Product Line Director for National's Amplifier Product Group.
"For flexibility, we offer these products in dual or quad options, plus we offer small packages to make the amplifier selection as easy as possible for our customers".
National's LMH6723/24/25 are single, dual and quad CFB operational amplifiers that provide high speed (370MHz), low power (1mA) and high output current (+110mA) for higher performance, less heat generation and longer battery life in portable applications.
The LMH6723/24/25 also offer 100MHz, 0.1dB gain flatness and low differential phase and gain, along with 100mA linear output current, for high-performance RGB video line driving.
This level of performance, obtained while consuming only 1mA of power, as well as the wide supply range of 4.5 to 12V, and small package size, makes these amplifiers ideal for a variety of portable applications.
These range from handheld walkie-talkies to phone surveillance camera systems, as well as other applications requiring premium high-speed performance with nominal power consumption.
National's LMH6723/24/25 are the latest amplifiers in a new series of high-speed products based on the VIP10 process.
Developed in National's wafer fabrication site in Arlington, Texas, VIP10 is a high-speed, dielectrically isolated, complementary bipolar IC process that uses deep trench technology on a bonded wafer for complete dielectric isolation and optimal high-speed amplifier performance.
VIP10 is the process technology that allows National to design the most power-efficient, performance-oriented high-speed amplifiers on the market today.
National's LMH6723 is available now in SOIC-8 and SOT23-5 packaging and is priced at $1.25.
The LMH6724 is available now in SOIC-8, will soon be available in MSOP-8 packaging and is priced at $1.75.
The LMH6725 is available now in SOIC-14, will soon be available in TSSOP-14 packaging and is priced at $2.50.
All prices are for 1000-unit quantities.
