specifications
The surface-mount F55 series of solid organic polymer tantalum electrolytic capacitors from Nichicon (Europe) feature high capacitance and high allowable ripple current.
Solid organic polymer tantalum electrolytic capacitors employ highly conductive organic polymers instead of the electrolyte (manganese dioxide) used in conventional tantalum electrolytic capacitors ESR is less than half that of conventional tantalum electrolytic capacitors achieved by means of Nichicon's polymer layer formation methods

Ever-expanding tantalum range
Nichicon (Europe) has added 15 further ratings to its F55 series of resin-moulded solid organic polymer tantalum chip electrolytic capacitors.
The surface-mount F55 series of solid organic polymer tantalum electrolytic capacitors from Nichicon (Europe) feature high capacitance and high allowable ripple current.
The resin moulded chip capacitors have an allowable ripple current of 1700mA RMS (S case) and 1500 to 2000mA (N case) and an ESR of 45mohm (S case) and 55 to 65mohm (N case).
Operating voltage is 2.5, 4, 6.3 and 10V and capacitance range 68 to 470mF.
Dissipation factor at 120Hz is 10 and 8% for S and N cases, respectively.
Operating temperature range is -55 to +105C.
The F55 series is supplied on carrier tape for automatic mounting.
