With a 2.5 x 2.0mm footprint and a maximum height of only 0.8mm the NT2520SA series is among the smallest and lightest TCXOs available in the world.

New from NDK, the NT2520SA series of surface-mount temperature-compensated crystal oscillators feature a 2.5 x 2.0mm footprint with a maximum height of only 0.8mm and mass of just 0.013g, placing them among the smallest and lightest TCXOs available in the world Exhibiting very tight frequency stability of +/-0.5ppm over the broad operating temperature range of -30 to +85C makes the NT2520SA series ideal for GPS, PND and cellular phone handset applications

Devices are available in frequencies ranging from 13 to 38.4MHz and popular GPS frequencies of 13, 16.368, 16.369, 16.8, 19.2, 24.5535, 26, 27.456 and 38.4MHz.

The NT2520SA operates on a low supply voltage range of +2.4 to 3.2V DC +/-0.1V, drawing a maximum of 1.5mA at a minimum peak-peak output level of 0.8V.

Aging characteristics are +/-1ppm maximum per year.

The NT2520SA is in lead-free packaging which meets the requirements for reflow profiling using lead-free solder and is RoHS compliant.

"With the growing popularity of GPS, designers are constantly being challenged to reduce size whether they are stand-alone products or coupled with other RF devices", says Mike Walczak, President, NDK America.

"The NT2520SA not only delivers a substantial size savings when compared with other GPS quality TCXOs, but also uncompromised tight stability performance", says Mike Walczak, President, NDK America.

Delivery for the NT2520SA series is 12 weeks ARO.

Devices are priced at approximately US $1.65 each in 10,000-unit quantities.
