1Mbit SRAM retains its data at low voltages
NEC's latest 1Mbit SRAM is designed using full CMOS process memory allowing it to operate with supply currents as low as 25mA and with supply voltage 1.8-3.6V.
The startWare V850E/IA1 starter kit comes complete with the V850/IA1 RISC CPU operating at frequencies of 20, 40 or 48MHz and incorporating 10Kbyte internal RAM and 256Kbyte internal Flash.
The starter kit also includes 512Kbyte SRAM and 512Kbyte Flash external memory.
The software supplied supports real time execution of application programs with and without connection to a host PC as well as connection to any kind of target hardware.
Interfaces include a CAN interface with onboard CAN device drivers for automotive applications; two UART interfaces (RS232); one CSI serial interface for Flash programming and a motor control connector.
Onboard power supplies can operate at 3.3, 5 and 7.8V.
NEC's V850E/IA1 is a 32bit single-chip RISC microcontroller developed to give a finer degree of control for inverter control applications.
The 62MIPS performance of the RISC CPU core enables inverter control for a variety of motor applications including two simultaneous three-phase motors, making the V850E/IA1 an ideal solution for industrial high-end inverters.
Intended applications also include electric power steering and hybrid electric vehicles.
