NewLogic Technologies has named Ronald Ham as Chief Scientist.

NewLogic Technologies has named Ronald Ham as Chief Scientist In his role as Chief Scientist, Dr Ham will strengthen NewLogic's expertise in wireless technologies

Already an acknowledged leader in the Bluetooth wireless technology arena, NewLogic is accelerating development programmes to offer IP products in the increasingly important wireless LAN field.

He will join a growing team of over 100 graduate engineers at NewLogic's Lustenau and Sophia Antipolis facilities.

"We are delighted to welcome industry veteran Ron Ham to the NewLogic team", said Hans-Peter Metzler, President and CEO of NewLogic Technologies.

"For over a year NewLogic has been recruiting management talent beyond the European borders.

Ron is the third industry leader to have made the move from North America to our home on the shores of Lake Constance", he added.

Dr Ham has over 30 years of experience in the international arena including management positions at Cisco, Texas Instruments and British Aerospace.

As a consultant he specialised in RF and telecommunications systems and his extensive list of clients includes Texas Instruments, Swisscom, Bosch, Siemens, BP and Esso.

He is the holder of a number of patents and many of his papers have received worldwide acclaim.

He has a BSc from the Texas A and M University, an MSc from Southern Methodist University in Texas, and a PhD from the Natal University in Durban.

He is a member of both the IEE and IEEE.
