Capacitor arrays have reduced trace distances
Now available from NIC Components, a range of 0805 size ceramic chip capacitor arrays that feature reduced trace distance, improving performance for high-speed applications.
The improved specification NSP range has ESR values as low as 0.012ohm at 100kHz, a figure that is significantly lower than that achieved by comparable tantalum devices.
In applications where multiple tantalum parts are being replaced, cost and space savings are possible when using NSP capacitors, as fewer devices are required.
An increased ripple current rating of up to 3.0A RMS (100kHz, +105C), is another feature of devices from the improved specification NSP range.
Parts are supplied in flat top resin chip packages that measure 7.3 x 4.3mm, with capacitance values ranging from 2.2 to 390uF and voltages between 2.0 and 16.0V DC.
In addition to having a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +105C, the NSP series also has a long life expectancy.
This is achieved through the use of a solid polymer electrolyte that eliminates the problem of dry out.
All devices from the range are compatible with pick and place assembly and reflow soldering.
