Addison joins NIC Components Europe from distributor Eurodis Electron where he spent 13 years in numerous roles.
Latterly, Addison held the position of European Marketing Manager for interconnect, passive and electromechanical components.
Having worked with a number of distributors prior to joining Eurodis Addison was effectively in the customer role.
This gave him a clear view of the critical factors that differentiate successful suppliers to a distributor from those that do not understand the changing nature of this key sales channel.
His exposure to the increasingly pan-European nature of component distribution forms a strong core to his approach to distribution sales management.
Commenting on his new role at NIC Addison said: "In a hugely competitive arena such as the passive components market, good customer service, a strong and competitively priced product range plus an efficient supply chain are key to a successful distribution sales channel".
He continued: "NIC has all of these, and I hope that coupled with my European distribution experience, the growth, recognition and success of NIC in the passives marketplace will continue".
