Low-profile electrolytics snap into place

A NIC Components Europe product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Nov 12, 2007

Snap-in electrolytic capacitors offer high capacitance-voltage performance combined with high ripple current ratings.

NIC Components has extended its range of snap-in electrolytic capacitors with the the NRLR and NRLRW series.

These two new series offer high capacitance-voltage (CV) performance combined with high ripple current ratings.

Suited to high-density circuits, they also feature a low-profile design for applications where height is restricted.

The NRLR series has a specified life of 3000 hours at its maximum 85C operating temperature.

The NRLRW series has the same 3000 hour rating but at 105C, making it excellent for applications in demanding environments.

Both have a minimum operating temperature of -40C.

Rated voltage and capacitance ranges for the NRLR family are 10to 250V DC and 180 to 82,000uF, respectively.

For the NRLRW series, parts are available with rated voltages of between 10 and 100V DC and capacitance values of 560 to 56,000uF.

The NRLR and NRLRW series are fully RoHS compliant.

Each has a robust mechanical design that features a PVC-patch-covered safety vent designed to rupture in the event of high internal gas pressure.
