Any way up for multipolarised antenna
design
Dr Jack Nilson of Niljon Antenna has received a patent for the world's first multipolarised antenna design.
Dr Jack Nilson of Niljon Antenna has received a patent for the world's first multipolarised antenna design Multipolarisation eliminates the need to polarise an antenna and allows the multipolarised antenna to receive signal even though the signal may have changed when hitting an obstruction

Punch down and earth strap for connector

Convertors marry disparate optical standards
A new range of connector convertors on show at ECOC 2002 next week are claimed offer unparalleled levels of performance and reliability.
The use of multipolarisation has created an obstruction-penetrating antenna that can be applied to frequencies from 750MHz to 5.4GHz.
This allows the antenna technology to offer substantial performance improvement up to twice that of other antennas in the same frequency with less power.
According to Dr Nilson: "The Ultra-M Omni has a high-gain near-the-horizon vertically polarised signal as well as a dual/multipolarised lobe that continues up to the 90 degree elevation for out-of-the-valley and higher tower/building/satellite performance, as well as 'geometric-spatial capture of signal' design characteristics for reduced flutter and multipath benefits.
In initial testing it greatly enhances WLAN capabilities both to handheld devices and laptops below as well as to radio cards on the other side of the wall".
This is a true breakthrough in antenna technology.
This is a significant technology leap for antenna design and will have a great impact on cellphone, WiFi, 802.11a b g, and police and fire bands.
Dr Nilson will seek out manufacturers interested in developing his designs into products.
