Flat flexible cables boast a wide variety
Nicomatic has launched its new FFC card cable activity at its North-American facility located near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
UltraThins reduce costs by eliminating embossing and reducing spacer materials while maintaining the easy-to-place size for which the UltraThins were developed.
The overall dimension is equivalent to 3.2 x 1.6 x 0.5mm for the one colour LEDs and 3.2 x 2.5 x 0.5mm for bicolours.
The 5mm SMD taping is much smaller than lead frame type components, thus enabling a smaller board size, higher packing density, reduced storage space and reduced equipment size.
Also, because they are lightweight they are ideal for miniature applications such as automotive backlighting in dashboards and switches, indicators, and backlighting in telephones and faxes, and flat backlighting for LCDs.
The products are available in red/green, red/yellow and green/yellow on tape and reel (1210 package) in stock (one colour LEDs : 1206 package in white, blue, yellow, orange and green).
They are compatible with the infra-red and vapour phase reflow solder process.
