The Minebea SD230U is a new 250W power supply optimised for use in PCs with either AMD or Intel processors.

It is housed in an enhanced-airflow PS2-style enclosure and is designed for industry standard ATX compatibility with optional NLX version available.

The SD230U is a five-output fan-cooled switching power supply, with an enhanced auxiliary supply which can provide 2A in "sleep mode", allowing system rapid resume and wake-up options to be implemented.

All outputs are SELV compliant.

Thermal fan speed control features automatic internal temperature control.

The SD230U is cooled by a low noise 80mm ball-bearing fan and complies with regulatory requirements for EN61000-3-2 (limited harmonics).

This model offers an input range of 115 or 230V AC and is tested for ambient temperatures up to 50C.

Further optional switchable input is available.

The supply features short-circuit, overvoltage and current protection on all outputs.
