A Norcott EMS product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Mar 10, 2006

Paul Copeland has been appointed as the new Senior Process Engineer at Norcott EMS.

Stoke man, Paul Copeland, has been appointed as the new Senior Process Engineer at Norcott EMS (Norcott).

With 30 years' experience in process and manufacturing engineering, Copeland (47) comes to the Cheshire company from Midlands based Celestica, where he had been a key member of the engineering staff in its Gateway new product introduction area.

Over the years, Copeland has gained extensive experience of working closely with customers to oversee process and manufacture issues at all stages of product development from design right through to manufacture, and these skills will see him play a key role in the future of the company.

Looking ahead to his new challenge, Copeland is confident that his prior experience will stand him in good stead.

He comments: "In addition to overall process responsibility, I'm also overseeing the formal switch to lead free after a successful series of both internal and customer trials".

"My experience of working on both the bare board processing and the SMT sides of our business has given me a good breadth of knowledge".

"I'm delighted to be bringing that knowhow with me and to be joining Norcott at such an exciting time".

Norcott Managing Director, Pete Lomas, is equally pleased to welcome Copeland to the company.

He says: "This is a key appointment for us".

"Paul brings with him a wealth of experience in electronic assembly techniques and his arrival will allow us to maintain our 'best in class' position whilst widening our service offering".

A Port Vale season ticket holder, Copeland is married with two sons and lives in Burslem.
