The Ixxat CANcheck installation tester allows simple testing of CAN networks during startup, as well as troubleshooting and maintenance.

Available now from Nohau UK, the Ixxat CANcheck installation tester allows simple testing of CAN networks during startup, as well as troubleshooting and maintenance The battery-operated, handheld device is connected to the CAN network to be tested and operated via cursor keys and a graphical LCD

The test results can be viewed on the integral LCD or on a PC connected via a USB port.

CANcheck performs all the tests that are important for commissioning and diagnosing faults on CAN systems, such as a wiring test when the network is switched off and an operational test when the network is running, a test of the resistances between all pins of the CAN connector, a terminal resistance test and measurement of the signal level.

In addition, the cable length, the baud rate and the busload of a system can be determined.

All identifiers transmitted in a system can be scanned and displayed.

It is also possible to display the error frames during a specified time.

CANcheck has a high-speed CAN interface in accordance with ISO/IS11898-2.

Four AA batteries are required to power the device but it can also use the USB connection to a PC for power.

The average operation time running on batteries is about 24 hours.

The device has a robust aluminium housing especially designed for use in the field.

CANcheck can be ordered now from Nohau UK.
