CAN repeaters allow the creation of star or tree topologies, the automatic decoupling of defective segments and the galvanic decoupling of the CAN lines from each other and from the power supply.

Ixxat has expanded its CAN repeater portfolio with two new versions, the CAN-CR200 and the CANCR220 Similar to other CAN repeaters from Ixxat, the new models allow the creation of star or tree topologies, the automatic decoupling of defective segments and the galvanic decoupling of the CAN lines from each other and from the power supply

In addition, the new CAN-CR200 can be lined up by using its DIN rail backplane bus interface.

This enables the setup of star-couplers of virtually any complexity quite easily.

The special feature of the CAN-CR220 is its high isolation voltage of 4kV.

The CAN-CR220 has been tested according to DIN/EN50178 (DIN VDE0160:1988-05 and DIN VDE0160/A1:1989-04), and so can be used in medical applications.
