The webcast, which will be held on 26th April 2005, will give examples of potential pitfalls during the transition to lead-free to help in preparing a plan that considers such pitfalls.
This presentation will also deal with difficult questions which have been hard to answer as industry waits for the legislative goalposts to settle, such as: "Are you a producer of EEE under the WEEE/RoHS directive, or is this actually your customer?"; "Is this clear and understood in your supply chain?"; "What responsibilities will you accept as a supplier, or pass on as a customer?"; "Who owns the BOM for your product?"; "Who ensures it will be compliant?"; "What actually needs to be in place in July 2006?"; and "What is the definition of lead-free?".
The National Physical Laboratory has been conducting in-house lead-free "healthchecks" around the country and this webcast will pass on the experience and feedback that they have gained.
Also a total of 500 delegates attended the 6 presentations given by Alan Brewin at the recent Southern Manufacturing Show.
Brewin was besieged by questions after each presentation.
This webcast promises to be extremely useful for those companies who still have concerns about their supply chain and the impending legislation.
Access to the webcast costs GBP 50, and must be booked in advance.
