Budget board for FPGA development
A new 400k gate Spartan-3 FPGA development board provides a low-cost solution for design engineers looking to pursue a variety of embedded FPGA applications.
A new 400k gate Spartan-3 FPGA development board provides a low-cost solution for design engineers looking to pursue a variety of embedded FPGA applications.
Powered by the Xilinx Spartan-3 FPGA technology, this board offers a complete customised development environment for building and evaluating a broad range of system designs for system interface, DSP functions and embedded processing, and includes the appropriate hardware to develop and test high-speed applications.
Athar Zafar, Vice President of Engineering for Nu Horizons explains: "We have learned from our customers that generating low cost development tools is very beneficial to them.
The Xilinx Spartan-3 FPGA family has all of the features necessary to meet today's most demanding high performance embedded FPGA applications.
Leveraging that technology, and the extremely low cost of the Spartan-3 family, our design team has created a feature-rich 400k gate Spartan-3 board at one of the lowest prices obtainable in the market".
The 400k gate Spartan-3 FPGA development board is available for immediate shipment today at a price of $164.
The board was recently displayed within the Xilinx booth at the SAE World Congress Show in Detroit, and will be demonstrated on both the Nu Horizons and Xilinx booths at the upcoming Electronica USA in San Francisco.
