POL regulator modules include all the circuit components encapsulated in such a tiny size that they resemble a surface mount IC.
Components include surface acoustic wave (SAW) resonators and filters, short-range radios (receivers, transmitters and transceivers) and frequency control products (Sonet and SDH fundamental clock oscillators).
Embedded wireless modules cover 433.92MHz or 2.4GHz unlicensed frequencies and are ideal for industrial mesh networks.
Network development kits, complete with software, are also available.
Following the recent acquisitions, RF Monolithics is rationalising its distribution network and has appointed DT Electronics from 1st February 2007.
RF Monolithics distributes its products in the USA via Nu Horizons, DT's parent company since August 2006.
RF Monolithics' European Sales Director, Richard Carter, said: "When we acquired Cirronet we had to review our distribution strategy and broaden our reach globally".
"DT Electronics is part of that plan".
"DT Electronics has a clear focus on demand creation and RF is always a technical sell because a lot of engineers see it as a black art".
"We need distributors who are comfortable with the technology and DT has a very good mix of competent people in place".
DT Electronics' Marketing Director, Gerry Hewitt, added: "RF Monolithics is a market leader in this type of RF technology and is the second major franchise that has come along as a direct result of us joining the Nu Horizons Group".
"For our customers, it means increased product choice and the chance to differentiate their products with devices that are the forefront of a fast-growing technology area".
