The SDA-02 handheld serial data analyser now has a novel feature whereby it can automatically change baud rate while monitoring incoming data The new facility, which is thought to be unique, allows users to continuously monitor and debug situations where a serial data baud rate change takes place between two equipments
The baud rate change can be up or down in speed, between any two of the 24 available analyser speeds.
The change is very quick, taking only 0.1ms, reducing the possibility of missed data.
Time-stamping remains valid through the change, allowing debug of target equipment communication turnaround times.
The new facility is initiated by a user defined trigger comprising up to four consecutive bytes of data, and is standard on new analysers, or available as a firmware upgrade for all earlier versions.
