Handheld data analyser keeps track of the time
New Forest Electronics reckons its SDA-02 handheld serial data analyser is the first instrument of its type to incorporate a time-stamping function.
These USB adapter cables allow the serial data analysers to be used with PCs which have USB ports but no standard RS232 serial COM ports, eg notebook size PCs.
When used with the handheld serial data analyser product, the cables allow captured data to be downloaded to a PC which does not have a standard RS232 serial COM port.
When using the PC based serial data analyser product, the cables allow a USB only PC to monitor data on a standard RS232 line, or data at TTL logic levels.
Each adapter cable includes built in circuitry, and drivers which make the PC's USB port look to an application program like a standard COM port.
The cables can be supplied with new analysers, or used with any analyser already bought.
