Aonix has appointed Ted Nothorn as Vice-President of Sales for North America and the Pacific Rim.

Aonix, a provider of complete safety- and mission-critical solutions, has appointed Ted Nothorn as Vice-President of Sales for North America and the Pacific Rim Nothorn is directly tasked with increasing Aonix's product revenue in the USA through extension of partnerships and deeper penetration into the emerging real-time Java marketplace

Well-versed in both the embedded software industry as well as military and defence, Nothorn brings 21 years experience to the Aonix senior management team.

Nothorn began his career as embedded software developer working on military communications systems at Sperry/Unisys.

In his next four years, he was involved in the development of Ada embedded software development tools at TeleSoft, one of the companies acquired by Aonix 12 years ago.

He then spent 18 years in the real-time mission-critical embedded software tools market, selling into military, aerospace, telecomms and datacomms markets with solutions including code compilers, debuggers, analysers, modelling and simulation, and real-time operating systems.

Nothorn opened and developed the first US sales offices for startups ObjecTime and Klocwork, building them into multi-million-dollar revenue producers.

He more recently served as Director of North American Sales at ObjecTime, overseeing $12 million in annual revenues, prior to ObjecTime's acquisition.
