Nexcom has launched two new 5.25in embedded boards with dual independent LVDS display support.

Nexcom has launched two new 5.25in embedded boards with dual independent LVDS display support.

This feature enables both the EBC572A and EBC567 platforms to transmit independent pictures, images and data to two separate LCD panels, and makes them suitable for a wide variety of media intensive applications within POS, gaming machines and transaction terminals.

Running an onboard Via C3 CPU up to 1GHz the EBC 567 is a new-generation P3 compatible platform built around the DDR memory, the standard now replacing the old SDRAM.

For added versatility the EBC 567 can support the entire Via CPU range from an ultra low power 400MHz up to 1.2GHz.

It also features six USB 2.0 ports and four COM ports with RS232/RS485 support.

The new EBC 572A embedded platform is based on Intel Pentium M/ULV/LV and Pentium M processors and supports DDR 266/333MHz SDRAM.

Both platforms are manufactured to the highest of industrial standards and are just part of the Nexcom range of technically advanced embedded solutions.
