Nexcom has expanded its range of high-performance 3.5in embedded CPU boards with the introduction of the small but versatile EBC 300 This compact industrial embedded CPU board is equipped with an onboard Intel Celeron M 600MHz processor with 512Kbyte L2 cache and 400MHz FSB or with Celeron M/Pentium M socket support

Both configurations have onboard DDR 256 memory, a feature that eradicates hardware/memory incompatibility and makes for improved heat dissipation.

With Intel 852GM and ICH4 chipsets, the EBC 300 has integrated graphics capability and uses a 64Mbyte shared memory to support CRT and LVDS functions.

The Southbridge ICH4 chipset provides a 44-pin IDE connector, Compact Flash Socket, two serial ports, six USB 2.0 ports, one gigabit LAN port and an audio interface.

The EBC300 is therefore a relatively high-performance, yet low power 3.5in embedded CPU platform that offers exceptional versatility in terms of display and I/O.

This fully RoHS compliant product has a virtually limitless number of potential applications within industrial computing.

As such the EBC 300 offers cost-effective solutions to a multitude of mission-critical embedded computing applications within gaming machines, elevator control, digital video transport systems, kiosks, POS systems, automation control, access control, smart instrumentation, network security and many more.
