ODU's plastic-bodied Mini-Snap PC connector is an addition to the company's metal-bodied range of push-pull connectors.
ODU's plastic-bodied Mini-Snap PC connector is an addition to the company's metal-bodied range of push-pull connectors.
Available in three sizes, 1,2 and 3 (12.5, 15.5 and 19mm diameter) the connector is suitable for power and signal applications.
Its plastic housing provides 100% touch protection and it can be used with high voltages and frequencies, providing an economical solution when designing in or changing this type of connector system in various applications including medical equipment, consumer electronics, communications systems, instrumentation and control systems.
Interconnectable with other connectors of this type, the plastic Mini-Snap has been developed for reliability, cost-effective assembly and quick and easy cable termination.
It can be supplied with turned contacts for crimp, solder or PCB termination or stamped and formed contacts for crimp or solder.
When specified with stamped and formed contacts it can easily be terminated on automated stripping and crimping machines, contributing to cost savings.
Up to 50% lighter than metal-bodied variants it is ideal for situations where weight saving is vital.
It is also chemical resistant and can even be autoclaved and, at up to 60% less expensive than metal equivalents, can be considered for throwaway use.
