The ODU Mini-Fix card-to-cable connector can now be used with flexfoils in addition to ribbon cables.

The ODU Mini-Fix card-to-cable connector can now be used with flexfoils in addition to ribbon cables Typical applications for this space saving connector are in medical equipment, telecommunications systems, mobile GSM modules for vehicles, basestations, test equipment, industrial electronics, data collection systems and general instrumentation

Based on a 1.27 x 2.54mm contact grid the connector is available in 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 way.

It has been designed for a nominal current of 0.5A.

High mating cycle capability, a maximum contact resistance of 6mohm and a mating force of 0.18N/contact are other features.

Two types of latching are available if required; plastic side levers giving the component an assembly height of 12.7mm or a metal clip that reduces the assembly height to only 9mm.

Items in the range include straight and angled solder-in headers, straight SMT headers, IDC sockets to mate with the headers and solder-in PCB connectors.
