The ODU-MAC modular interconnection and docking system can combine power, signal, high frequency, fibre optic and compressed air connectors in one module.

The ODU-MAC modular interconnection and docking system can combine power, signal, high frequency, fibre optic and compressed air connectors in one module Off-the-shelf components include coaxial connectors using the company's Lamella or Springwire contacts, a white DIN housing for medical applications and an aluminium frame DIN housing but standard components can be used together to create a bespoke system

Suitable for many interconnection and interface applications, including electronics, test equipment, robotics, machine tools, and general industrial equipment, the ODU-MAC makes high density with low space requirements possible because up to 100 contacts can be placed in an insulator length of 25mm.

Developed with heavy-duty applications in mind where up to 100,000 mating cycles can be expected, the concept is based around a variety of customisable frames, insulation bodies with numerous insert patterns, and removable contacts.

Each assembly can include any combination of the various ODU contacts, including non-magnetic types that are well suited to medical equipment applications as well as those with high stability under vibration.

Modules can be arranged in different patterns in a frame according to the application.

Unit spacing is in 2.54mm multiples and guide pins ensure accurate mating.

A locking system has been developed for high security applications.
