Medical connectors gain right-angle
option

ODU has added a right-angle plug to its Medi-Snap circular push-pull connector line, which is compatible both with existing components in the range and other manufacturers' products.

ODU has added a right-angle plug to its Medi-Snap circular push-pull connector line, which is compatible both with existing components in the range and other manufacturers' products The right angle plug is said to be the only one of its type currently available and saves space because, unlike straight connectors, cables do not arc but run at right angles to the corresponding socket

The body and push-pull locking system are plastic and seven colours are available for coding in multi-plug situations.

Available in 2-14 positions the units is suitable for a maximum current load of 14A.

When mated it is rated at IP50.

Another significant advantage for medical applications is that the Medi-Snap can be autoclave sterilised.
