ODU has introduced a small docking connector with a number of power applications, a typical one being in-situ battery charging of handheld devices Based on the company's Mini-Snap push-pull system, it differs from the standard component in that there is no locking device but otherwise it can be used with standard panel mount receptacles

A new 60-page catalogue covering the ODU-MAC connector system is available from ODU.
Available with outer diameters from 9.5 to 24mm it can be installed from the front of a panel to provide a docking connection between two devices.
Up to 40 contact positions and mixed insert arrangements are available, and solder and crimp terminations are offered.
