Thick film resistors absorb more energy
The new TFS Series resistors from Ohmite are ideal for medical surge protection applications and for the replacement of standard carbon composition resistors.
Specifically designed and developed to absorb much more energy than standard film resistors, the new TFS Series resistors from Ohmite are ideal for medical surge protection applications and for the replacement of standard carbon composition resistors The low profile package has a thick film resistive element encapsulated in screen printed glass and is available in six standard sizes
The axial leaded devices cover a range from 0.5 to 2W, with energy ratings from 6 to 55J for a single impulse.
Operating voltages range from 3 to 11kV, with a resistance range from 100ohm to 100kohm, down to 1% tolerance, with a TCR of 100ppm/C.
The operating temperature range is -55 to +200C.
Noninductive and RoHS compliant, the TFS Series can be supplied with custom dimensions, values, tolerances and characteristics.
