The APR-5000-DZ has a dual-convection bottom-side heater that enables faster rework while controlling the temperature to levels required by component and material manufacturers' specifications.
A rugged ABS housing encases a high-torque planetary gear drive that will wrap 18 to 30AWG (1.0 to 0.25mm) wire, and is compatible with the full range of industry standard bits and sleeves.
The PTX Series is available with 48, 115 and 230V electric motors, while the battery version is powered by a long-life 3.6V NiMH cell and incorporates a low-voltage LED indicator.

Complementing the PTX Series are the ground-breaking DFB224 and DFB2426 wire wrap/unwrap dual function bit/sleeve sets.
Using a unique, exclusive approach to wire wrapping, each unit combines both the wrap and the unwrap functions into one bit/sleeve set.
The bit itself is precision machined for high quality clockwise wrapping, but also includes the removal mechanism to unwrap counter clockwise making both wrapping and unwrapping amazingly fast.
There's no need to change polarities, no time-consuming steps switching from a clockwise to anticlockwise operation.
Technicians simply switch between wrap and unwrap mode by retracting or extending the retractable sleeve, and flipping the switch on a wrap/unwrap power tool (with reversible motor).
In addition, retractable sleeve is coated with an insulative material that provides 1000V dielectric strength to prevent pin-to-pin shorting.
The DFB224 wire wrap/unwrap dual function bit/sleeve set can wrap or unwrap 22 and 24AWG wire, while the DFB2426 is for use with 24 and 26AWG wire.
