Prior to this promotion Tutty held the position of European Product Manager for the OK Industries division, responsible for developing the wire wrap equipment and technology business throughout Europe.
Tutty brought considerable experience to this role, having previously managed European distributors in technology sectors such as power supplies and scientific instruments.
He has also made significant progress in developing new business and raising their profile in Europe, making him the obvious choice for this new role.
"OK International has always been a forward thinking company, which is one of the keys to our growing success", explains Rob Haslett, Vice President of OK International's operation in Europe and Asia.
"The manufacturing emphasis of the larger OEMs and CEMs is increasingly shifting overseas to regions such as Eastern Europe and Asia, as companies are forced to chase lower labour rates.
This has inevitably resulted in a changing global customer base.
The promotion of Mark Tutty, in the new role of UK Business Manager, is just one step that we are taking to meet these changes".
"Low volume manufacturers manage their equipment purchase very differently to their larger counterparts", adds Haslett.
"This new position will enable us to work much more closely with these companies, to address their individual needs.
It will also enable us to introduce them to the broad range of products that we can offer, raising awareness across all the OK International brands in the UK".
"Each of the OK International brands has world leading products in their own right", said Mark Tutty.
"However, a customer might regularly choose Metcal products, but look elsewhere for their ESD/ionisation equipment because they are not aware of our Semtronics range.
I see this role as an opportunity to create a more rounded approach to our sales strategy.
Yes, the industry in the UK is changing, but it offers a positive challenge that will prepare us well for future growth". Request free introductory details about products from OK International ...
