Spray valves provide controlled PCB
coverage

The TS5520 spray valve has been developed to enable customers to apply fine mist liquid coatings onto any substrate, controlling deposit sizes by varying the dispensing height above the substrate.

OK International will launch three new dispensing valves at Nepcon UK 2005 The TS5520 spray valve has been developed to enable customers to apply fine mist liquid coatings onto any substrate, controlling deposit sizes by varying the dispensing height above the substrate

For example, small dots can be applied by positioning the valve 25.4mm above the surface, and heights up to 304.8mm can be used to coat an entire board.

A short opening stroke provides an extremely fast and positive shutoff, and external variation of the stroke control makes it easy for the operator to fine-tune the spray output.

A wide range of adjustments can be made to vary the dispensing spray size down to a very fine mist.

The TS5520 includes a pneumatically triggered single acting valve, and there is a separate air path to ensure full atomisation of the sprayed material and a highly consistent spray pattern.

OK International will also introduce two new Techcon Systems stainless steel valves.

The TS5540 and the TS5540F valves spray a fine mist of low-viscosity materials such as conformal coating, solvent, oil and grease precisely and consistently for thin-film fluid deposits.

Both valves come with a variety of nozzle/cap configurations for spraying different fluid deposit patterns and sizes.

The TS5540's three cone-shaped nozzles/caps are for spraying three sizes of circular-shaped deposits.

The TS5540F's three fan-shaped nozzles/caps are for spraying three sizes of elliptical-shaped deposits.

Both valves have a 4.8bar activation pressure and handle fluid pressure at a maximum of 6.9bar.

Apart from having different size and shape nozzle/cap, the TS5540 and TS5540F are identical in their main valve body build.

The TS5540 and TS5540F have a smooth fluid path that reduces turbulent flow and air entrapment ensuring consistent, precise and repeatable spraying.

In addition, they feature an external stroke control that adjusts for different fluid flow and provides an extremely fast, positive shutoff. Request a free brochure from OK International ...
